vacay - all the other stuff

So this is the thread dedicated to all the other stuff not dland from our vacay. Yay!

We stayed at the Knotts Berry Farm hotel and resort. Yes, we did pay 59 bucks a night and it was well worth it but next time, if we are doing dland, we are doing the dland resort. It was just too much hassle to pack up the kid and the kid's gear. Call it laziness but hopping on the monorail seemed like a very, very good and easy route out. Or maybe it was the fact we are such geniuses that we thought, hey it's pouring, and ya know what, SPLASH MOUNTAIN is a great idea! Anyhow, it was nice to be on vacay but it was nice to be home. SO NICE to be home.

We had dinner on the Santa Monica Pier at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. Jason and James just HAD to order the 'bucket of boat trash'. When the bill came, we just about died and had to ask if this bill was really split down the middle. What the - what?! Despite the minor setback, it was good to have entertainment at dinner and watch the sunset on the coast. It made us almost consider living there. ALMOST. We would die if we had to drive in that everyday. die!

We stopped in Palm Springs to visit with Uncle Lee. It was WINDY WINDY WINDY - which we should have expected since they have the wind powered generators. Uncle Lee had the most fantastic backyard we had ever seen. Many compliments to Chris on that!!! Fox enjoyed cousin Hawk's sandbox.

So this is us. Nothing else to report. Adios!

take me out to the ballgame and a PSA!!!

Pretty uneventful week here...wait, did we mention Fox's FIRST baseball game??!!! yay!

We were in the baby "sandlot" the whole time because Fox seemed to be enjoying the artificial grass and he started to STAND UP ON HIS OWN for the first time EVER! OMG.

We then had this awesome idea to get Fox a souvenir of his first baseball game and purchased a soft stuffed bat. He started swinging that bat EVERYWHERE and at EVERYONE! Did I tell Yao Ming to watch out? I mean watch out Eric Byrnes! Seebach in the house! wOOt!

Fox did make a jumbo-tron entrance on two occasions...and one of them were as follows...yes, he was CRYING at just the right moment. What a keeper. As a side note, the baby next to Fox is 11months old. Did we not tell you the kid was tall?!!!

We are relieved to have the spring semester of school done. Now we have the pharmacy technician exam and the PCATs to look forward to. wOOt wOOt! But all of this wonderful time can come after our vacay. yay! Certainly looking forward to some serious R'n'R!

We want to take this opportunity to apologize to EVERYONE for never calling them when we probably should have. If you know our past work experience, then you wouldn't blame us at all! We do have intentions of telephoning friends, families, and people in church but man on man we are NOT telephone folks! We are - or shall we say Mary is - email folk. James is a talk to me on xbox live folk. Do keep in touch with us though!!! Email works much much better. So that's our PSA for a very very long time!

On a much much lighter note, for those of you who have never seen Mary's brother Jason - here it is. Any resemblance? You tell me. And yes, he is wearing a Chuck Norris shirt stating pain in weakness.

So this is us. nothing more to report. adios!

to the mom's in our lives!

Happy Mother's Day!

Fox, as usual, steals the spotlight but somehow we were able to still able to let the moms' in our lives know that we love them!!!

Of course, they are pictured with the one, the only, Fox!!!

Also today, Fox had his 9 month checkup. That meant a hemoglobin test as well as an immunization. dun dun dun! He's in the 90th percentile for height - Yao Ming, watch you 'cuz a Seebach is in town! wOOt!

So this is us. nothing else to report. adios!

Finals Week!

This is the week of finals in our house...and this is what Fox has to say about it.
..

One funny dOOd, isn't he?!

We are awaiting our first family vacay trip to Cali. Fox's first vacay, yay!!! It will be a much needed break for ALL of us. I think the 360 needs a break from GTA as well...

So this is us. Nothing more to report. adios!

In the meantime, allow me to show all of you what James has taught Fox to do...
enjoy.
