So this is the thread dedicated to all the other stuff not dland from our vacay. Yay!
We stayed at the Knotts Berry Farm hotel and resort. Yes, we did pay 59 bucks a night and it was well worth it but next time, if we are doing dland, we are doing the dland resort. It was just too much hassle to pack up the kid and the kid's gear. Call it laziness but hopping on the monorail seemed like a very, very good and easy route out. Or maybe it was the fact we are such geniuses that we thought, hey it's pouring, and ya know what, SPLASH MOUNTAIN is a great idea! Anyhow, it was nice to be on vacay but it was nice to be home. SO NICE to be home.
We had dinner on the Santa Monica Pier at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. Jason and James just HAD to order the 'bucket of boat trash'. When the bill came, we just about died and had to ask if this bill was really split down the middle. What the - what?! Despite the minor setback, it was good to have entertainment at dinner and watch the sunset on the coast. It made us almost consider living there. ALMOST. We would die if we had to drive in that everyday. die!
We stopped in Palm Springs to visit with Uncle Lee. It was WINDY WINDY WINDY - which we should have expected since they have the wind powered generators. Uncle Lee had the most fantastic backyard we had ever seen. Many compliments to Chris on that!!! Fox enjoyed cousin Hawk's sandbox.
