Pajama Time

In our house, we pretty much wear pajamas for as long as we can before we absolutely need to change. Why shouldn't we, they are really comfortable!

Fox playing outside with sidewalk chalk in January in flip flops on the patio.

When we do finally get dressed, we like to walk a lot outside. Fox likes to stand on the small walls along sidewalks so he "can be tall, tall, tall". He also likes to sit in rides but not put money in them.

One day a few weeks ago, we discovered Yogurtopia!!! It is delicious. The pictures speak for themselves. He licks the spoons clean.

Fox will always ask for "birthday cake" or "chocolate" or "cookies and cream". If you're a sucker, you'll fall for it and get that flavor for him in addition to his toppings of jelly beans and gummy worms. If you're clever like Mary, you'll get a flavor you want (Hawaiian or Mango) and add gummy worms to it for him then fish it out onto a napkin for him to eat.

So this is us. Nothing else to report. adios!

Birthday Parties

The first week of January, Fox went to a birthday party for his friend, Ben. Ben's third birthday party was at Golfland in Mesa! Fox has never played mini-golf before but it seem that we need to make it a family past-time for sure! Fox didn't mind the cold either. He was too busy running around with Ben dropping the balls into the holes.

The two friends.

Barb was using a new camera and it takes crispy photos that makes us envious. We still have an old dinosaur hand me down digital camera. This entry will be more like a photo album of the night - enjoy!
They had unlimited playtime. Fox and James played a lot of racing games.

James showing Fox how it's done. A perfectly sized Mary house!
Mary was deathly cold if you couldn't tell by the photos.
This photo cracks us up. Ben seems to have a look of "I'm too cool for this kid" look!

Last week, Fox went to a birthday party for Mia who was also turning three! Her theme was Dora the Explorer. The kids had to follow the map and find the clues from the Troll Bridge, to the Playground, and then to the Candy Tree. Of course, Fox LOVED that too.

Fox made binoculars to spot the clues!

This was a nice candid shot of Fox and his candy from the Candy Tree!

Finally, we close with this video of Fox. In the Xterra, the Beatles are on constant rotation and the cd has probably never ever left the 6disk changer. You can see the outcome of what happens when Fox listens to too much Beatles:

So this us. nothing else to report. adios!

The Day it Snowed and Sparkled

On New Year's Eve going into New Years Day 2011 it snowed in the Valley. Yes, snow! Mary snapped these out of the car window while we were all driving into town. (James was driving the car, of course!)
On New Year's Eve, Jason bought Fox some sparklers to play with. He did not quite know what to do at first but then got the hang of it with help from James.

Other random bits of the past week or so:

Fox painted a snowman for Grandma Seebach as a Christmas gift. He really enjoyed it!

Surprisingly, not a mess at all on his clothes or on the newspaper we had lain out. He kept it on the snowman or the plate! This was done in December but we forgot to put it up on the blog. It was too cute to not put up.

Breakfast with Fox:

He likes to eat cereal and milk. He is a boy of simple tastes!

Times with Uncle Jason:

Jason has been working on his car on and off here at our place. Here, Fox was supervising cuts Jason was making for the undercarriage of his car.

So this is us. nothing else to report. adios!

Fox's Third Haircut

Fox had his haircut for the third time of his life. Fox seems to be averaging about one haircut a year. What makes this one different is the fact that James did it. Mary's mom was over that morning and helped as well.

Then the finished product:

Later that day, Fox showed off his new haircut at the library. It must have been book day!

A New Year, a new haircut for Fox AND Mary. Mary's haircut will be of a post to come. James' Jets made it through round one of the Playoffs. Mary still tries out new recipes from various cookbooks. Fox loves his trains and trucks.

Here is a video of Fox writing his letter to Santa and the Christmas Mouse. He also explains what we do at Christmas.

So this is us. nothing else to report. adios!

Concluding December

The Loyal Readers to our blog know about our monthly visits to the Train Park in Scottsdale. December was no exception. We went after Christmas but before New Years with some friends. Fox was thrilled to pieces.

Fox is three. Justin turns two super soon.

A rare photo of the party of three.

Fox and James share a Hot Chocolate.

We arrived in time for the regular train rides before the park started to charge more for the evening lighted train ride. Also, the characters came out for photos with the kids.

Fox likes the Cat in the Hat tons and tons!

He also got a hug from Elmo and a high five from the animal from the Wiggles. We can't remember the name of the character.

Fox also likes to dance. Check out these two videos:

The year 2010 has concluded and we're off for 2011. James and Mary agreed that this year seemed to have gone by much quicker than past years.

so this is us. nothing else to report. adios!
