Oh What to do with a Block of Wood

James, Mary, and Fox went over to Lionel's to use his equipment (cutter and sander) to make initial cuts on our block for the Pinewood Derby Car. All a while, Fox played with the Benson cousins.

We got home and started the spray painting process. (Repeat repeat repeat until Mary lost a few brain cells.)

Then after much work, as Fox likes to say these days - TADA!

Can you guess who this is?

He's from a Disney Channel Show called "Phineas and Ferb" and his name is Perry the Platypus! He turns from house pet to "Agent P" when he wears his brown derby hat. All Mary could find was a black one - sorry fans!

Not too many photos from this year's Derby. Sorry folks. This year, we combined with another troop to make a super big race! There were 18cars believe it or not!

These days have been nice; Mary and her mom like to take Fox to the park to feed the ducks. Too bad these ducks are awfully picky.

Fox has loved building building building. They are towers, "car washings", bird house, or "cackis" (cactus).

James took photos of him playing. Our house is a constant mess.

Mary - I Like Calhoun! - 43 of 63 - 74 points, 9 underdog bonus, total 83 - Mary placed #1, 99% overall to all players (Duke) (5 players)
It All Rides on Duke! - 37 of 63 - 63 points, 8 underdog bonus, total 73 - Mary placed #2, 96% overall to all players (Duke) (11 players)
Sweet 16 bracket - Scheyer, Will You Marry Me?! - 8 of 15 - 31pts, 2 underdog bonus, 33 total - Mary placed #2, 96% overall to all players (Duke) (15 players)

Count 'em up. James has 1 Gold Trophy. Mary has 1 Gold and 2 Silver Trophies. We will not mention the paper bracket since Mary decimated James (but she would also have a Gold Trophy for that!). Kansas broke almost everyone's brackets with the loss to Northern Iowa. Every year, Mary has Duke winning it all and it is finally here! YAY! To read more about that, check out the previous post.
