The Fourth

For the Fourth of July, we went up to Prescott and Prescott Valley to get out of the hot hot heat of the Valley. They had an Arts and Crafts Fair at the Courthouse and Fox had lots of room to run around.

Our friend, Jenn, came along too.

Later that night, we went to Prescott Valley to watch the fireworks from their new astroturf fields.

Fox was wearing a button up shirt with red, white and blue flags. This shirt used to be James'! It was easy to spot him throughout the day because of his unique shirt.

The next morning, we drove to Jerome and this is what Fox did:

James and Mary pulled out at a scenic view. Some of us aren't too photogenic, eh?

Welcome to Jerome! Jerome isn't really a ghost town and has become a hub for liberal thinkers and artists. There were quite a few wine cellars too! Jerome used to be a mining town but when the railroad completed their track past/through Clarkdale, Jerome was bypassed and forgotten about.

Fox liked the "firetruck house" the best. Fox and James rested at the foot of some stairs. They also had a tasty treat!

As usual, Fox wandered a lot. Mary found a vintage shop and found some shoes. (surprise, surprise?!)

We ate at the "Haunted Hamburger" for lunch and Fox found a bug on the window. They became fast friends!

Can you see the bug? James and Mary debated if it was a Grasshopper or a Mantis.

So this is us. nothing else to report. adios!
