Pass Along the Sickies!

Fox was sick towards the end of last week to this week. Our kid has a crazy mutant gene that makes him pratically immune to sickies (including when Mary had shingles!) but he could not escape this viral throat infection that wiped him out 48hours straight of high fevers, decreased appetite, crankiness, night cries, moaning, fussiness, and rashes. Then it sticks around for seven days - as do most viruses. It's totally awesome. Thank you parenthood!

Apparently cookies seemed to be good medicine deemed by Fox; the kid was ready for a nap after that! He slept almost all day and night when he could.

Lots of wet washclothes to keep his high fever down. This poor little guy!

Fox is typically as follows when he's not sick...

We've blogged already that he's in a big boy bed and stays in it. True to our word, he does! Nevermind the fact he likes to stand in it when nap time is done!

Drinking out of his new found love of straws!

That's Uncle Jason by the way. His super smart Mechanical Engineer I'm building an alternative source of energy vehicle and racing it this summer uncle!

Playing in water splash pads!

Pushing his condo stroller around! (Funny how we have to specify which one since we own quite a few!) Check out his smile there!

So we're boring this week since we have been taking care of Fox the entire time. For our dedicated readers...of course we would not fail to mention...MARCH MADNESS!!! MARCH MADNESS! Mary's team Duke was deemed Team of the Decade by ESPN. That is worth it's weight in gold. Thank you ESPN! This year, it's going to be hard to call it, but let's bring on our hobby of bracketology! w00t! Every year, we have our prizes. If Mary's picks win, then she gets "this" (insert whatever she's feeling at the moment...which happens NOT to be a PS3). If James' picks win, then he gets "this" (insert whatever he's feeling at the moment...which happens to be an iTouch).

That's all folks!

So this is us. Nothing else to report. adios!

Oh poor baby...I hope he is finally feeling better. I hate when kids are sick. I am so jealous of his immunity. We can pass our colds to you! Yes, my kids got another dose of colds this week.
